ZooBoo at the Pueblo Zoo
is Halloween fun for the whole family!
Trick or Treaters can enjoy the best parts of Halloween with the safety and fun of the Pueblo Zoo at ZooBoo presented by The Shandy Clinic and BooBonus presented by R-Buck Heating & Air Conditioning! This year, participants will receive a pre-filled bag of treats before exploring the decorated grounds. Join in the fun, seeing spooky animals with your family and participating in a Halloween costumed parade at Pueblo's premiere Halloween event!
In an effort to promote safe social distancing, we are introducing timed ticketing for this event. When you go to purchase your tickets online, you will select a time slot (time slots are on the hour or half hour). Please be at the zoo during your half hour window to enter the zoo and begin your experience! Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, failure to arrive during your window may result in forfeiting your slot. There are a limited number of tickets available for each time slot, so purchase yours early!

Palm Oil & Conservation
Help us save species this Halloween! When you purchase candy, please purchase candy from brands that use sustainable palm oil. Hershey’s or Mars brands are safe choices. The production of palm oil is destroying rainforest habitat, hurting endangered species, including orangutans.
In the interest of safety, the following costume items are prohibited:
Fully covered adult face masks or heavy makeup
Weapons, and weapon-like items (hatchets, swords, baseball bats, etc.)
Smoking and vaping are not permitted on Zoo grounds.
In accordance with health and safety guidelines, please follow these safety procedures:
Maintain social distancing of 6 ft between family groups
Face masks are required during your visit
Limit groups to ten or less people
Follow all guidance given on signs throughout the zoo.
Food will be available to purchase at the Safari Cafe, located by our lions and African painted dogs.

We need your help!
Feel like getting out of house to see some cute little goblins? We have many areas during this event that need your help.
What’s new this year?
In compliance with health and safety restrictions, there will be limited activities this year. Participants will have the opportunity to join a costumed parade and complete the scavenger hunt that will be supplied in their treat bags.
Also new this year, treats will be given at check in rather than collected throughout the zoo (to limit touch points and keep everyone safe)!
Ticketing is timed for this event to reduce crowding.
How do I get my tickets?
All tickets are purchased online. Visit pueblozoo.org/zooboo to purchase yours. Ticketing is timed, so please be aware of the slot you choose. Showing up late may result in forfeiture of tickets as admission is being controlled following health and safety guidelines.
To select tickets for Saturday or Sunday select either the member or non-member button on the website under the heading “ZooBoo” Members must sign in to receive discounted tickets.
To select tickets for Friday’s BooBonus, select the BooBonus button under the BooBonus heading. Members must sign in to purchase tickets. No guests are allowed at BooBonus, only the named members on the membership. If you would like to include additional family or friends, please select Saturday or Sunday for your visit.
My membership allows me to purchase additional adults, can I do this?
This is a flaw in the design of our ticketing system. As a small non-profit we use the tools we are able to afford.
Please do not purchase additional tickets beyond what is covered by your membership, even if the system is allowing you to do so. Timed ticketing is in place as an effort to maintain health and safety guidelines, one of which is having a record of participants should the Health Dept. need to contact trace a COVID case to our event.
We will be checking memberships at the gate with tickets, so any additional tickets purchased will not be valid if the additional adults do not have a membership.
We have a membership that includes a guest, can we bring a guest to BooBonus?
Unfortunately, no. Our system only allows us to process named members for our timed ticketing.
If you would like to visit with additional guests, please select a time to come on Saturday or Sunday. Thank you for your understanding.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes! As part of our health and safety guidelines, all guests ages 3 and up must wear a face mask.
Guests must follow all health and safety guidelines posted on grounds and communicated by staff. Thank you for doing your part to keep each other safe!
